Metalite is a Metarhizium anisopliae strain FM-101, biological insecticides based on selective strain of naturally occurring entomopathogenic fungus.
Registration permit: No. 335-2567 Department of Agriculture Thailand.
 
Mode of Action : The spore of the fungus when comes in contact with the cuticle (skin) of the target pest insect it germinates and grows directly in cuticle into the inner body of host. The fungus by taking nutrients from the insect and infected insect eventually dies 3-14 days.
 
Taget Pests : Metalite  effectively controls most of the economically important pest such as Thrips, Spider Mite, Rice weevil, Tomato fruitworm, Egg-plant fruitborer, Corn earworm, Coconut rhinoceros beetle, and Sugarcane boring beetle

Direction of use:
1. Spraying: Dissolve 100 grams of Metalite in 20 liters of water. Adding 3 to 5 milliliters of Move-X and ensure thorough mixing. Apply the solution via spraying in the evening, with intervals ranging from 3 to 7 days based on the severity of infestation.
2. Drip irrigation system: Apply the Metalite through the drip irrigation or spraying on soil at a rate of 0.5-1 kilogram per rai to effectively eliminate insect larvae and pupae present in the soil.
3. Manure pile: Mix 1 kilogram of Metalite into a cow dung manure pile of the size 2x2x0.5 m to attract various beetle species and effectively eliminate worms.
